The Sharnford Arms was originally built in the early 1800's and called The Old Star, it changed its name again in the mid 1980's to The Falconer and again at the turn of this century to it's present name The Sharnford Arms.

Jane and Steve Smith took on the pub together in November 2008. They soon turned the pub in to the thriving and successful business it remains today.Sadly Jane lost a battle with cancer in April 2012 and will be fondly missed by the entire community. Since her passing, with the help of his wonderful staff and the support of the customers, the pub has gone from strength to strength.

It offers a friendly but more importantly genuine welcome from all inside. From a choice of 5 cask ales, log fires, candles, excellent wine to coaxing a laugh from the local 'grumpy' bloke in the corner, this really is a wonderful and unique place to be.

Boasting attractive prices between 4 and 7pm each evening and 12 to 7pm on the weekends, putting all beers at £2.80 per pint including Guinness and cider. Also available is a unique card system offering you a chance to keep the beer prices at £2.80 whenever you see fit to spend it, with the added bonus of qualifying for the monthly draw for the chance to win ten free pints.

People also travel from all over the midlands to experience the fantastic Chinese restaurant inside the pub also offering takeaways, giving customers the chance to have a cheeky beer or two whilst waiting for collection.

Dogs are always welcome, and are usually greeted with a treat and a sniff from the resident black Labrador 'Silkie. With its close proximity to fosse meadows it offers the perfect place to meet after a walk over the fields for a nice cooling pint.
